It is true that everything we need to be successful in this universe is around us, the only issue is that we choose to ignore the signs.Success has been made to look like an instantaneous process, people with that sort of mentality need to buy lottery tickets. Belief and arming yourself with the right knowledge will certainly result in attaining your goal. I would go a liitle further and say that since the beginning of time the world has had great minds within every century who have been teaching mankind on the basics of living a successful life, not just finacially but also spiritual, eg Jesus Christ. budha, Jim Rohn, Darren Hardy.
