Dear Mark,

Thank you for this great post.

When it comes to generating ideas, I love this quote by George Bernard Shaw:

‘If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.’

Yes, it is good to have a plethora of ideas but why do some breakthrough ideas often break apart as they move through the process from origination to implementation?

Thanks and regards,

Geetha

Mark,

Let's hear it for ideas! Good ideas. Lots of them. Communicated well.

Most of the executives I work with spend most of their days in meetings. I can't help thinking that having/sharing good ideas and attending meetings are inversely proportional.

Amen! Coincidentally, my current Facebook post references the same issue with a quote: "You can't learn anything from experiences you're not having" ~ Louis L'Amour

To grow we have to learn. To learn we have to experience. Lots of experiences mean lots of growth. Growth = "wealth", whether that be financial or physical/mental/emotional/spiritual.

Just my two talents worth...
